Maritime Heart Center’s MEDICAL MILE – proudly supported by AstraZeneca

Calling all MEDICAL PROFESSIONALS*! We need YOU to RUN for the MHC!

(*The term ‘Medical Professional’ is inclusive of, but certainly not limited to… Nurses. Surgeons. Support Staff. Dietitians. Pharmacists. Cardiologists. Lab Technicians. Dentists. Radiologists. Paramedics. OT’s. Chiropractors. Anesthesiologists. Hygienists. Social Workers. Psychiatrists. Any medical term followed by the word ‘Assistant’ or ‘Aid’… in other words, any PROFESSION that is related to the MEDICAL field. In short… why aren’t you registered yet?)

On NATAL DAY, Sunday August 1st hundreds of people, young and old, will run across the MacDonald Bridge as part of the annual MacPass Miles event, proudly sponsored by the Maritime Heart Center.

As part of this FREE community event, the Maritime Heart Center will also host the MEDICAL MILE – a special run for members of our medical community to promote the MHC’s visibility and to show HRM that their medical professionals are committed to heart-healthy living.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR RUNNERS! And joggers. And walkers.

* Teams are 1 male, 1 female
* $500.00 prize for first place
* Other draw prizes, just for taking part!
* Suitable for all fitness levels; run to compete, run for fun…
* JUST RUN TO SUPPORT THE MARITIME HEART CENTER!!!

It’s FREE to register, and to say thank-you we’ll give you your own MHC-branded performance running shirt to keep!

Event details:
When: Sunday August 1st
Where: MacDonald Bridge, Halifax to Dartmouth
Time: Registration begins at 7.30am, races from 9am-11am, with a reception at the Holiday Inn, Dartmouth after the races.
