Heart failure is a burgeoning problem for Canadians. Maritimers, in particular, have among the highest rates of Cardiovascular Disease in the country. The staff at the Maritime Heart Center are employing several novel techniques to deal effectively with patients who are suffering from heart failure symptoms that result in a heart that is no longer strong enough to adequately pump blood for a patient’s needs.
