Anthropomorphic Data Collection and Food Questionnaire Administration

Approximate Time Commitment: ~6hours (1 school day) X 2 Sessions Required = ~12 hours in one year)

 

Description: Volunteers will be trained on how to take measurements of height, weight, waist circumference, hip circumference, mid-upper-arm circumference, Body Mass Index (BMI) and Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR), as well as, be trained on how to administer the Food Frequency Questionnaire to students. One session will include: helping implement anthropomorphic measurements and Food Frequency Questionnaire to grade 4, 5, and 6 students in one school.

 

Note: Volunteers MUST commit to AT LEAST two sessions (OR 12hours)

 

Skills Required: Must be a health professional with previous knowledge and training in bone and muscle anatomy and body measurement. Previous experience with measuring BMI is an asset.
