PACER Fitness Administration and Scoring
Approximate Time Commitment: ~6 hours (1 school day) per school X 2 sessions required = 12 hours (2 school days) per year
Description: The PACER Fitness Test provides a measure of student’s cardiovascular fitness.
It requires the participants to run back and forth between two lines that are marked 20 meters apart. Participants are scored based on the number of laps they completed.
One session involves: Keeping tract of the number of laps students’ in grade 4, 5, and 6, of one elementary school, complete and recording each students score. Also, volunteers will be asked to help with set-up and clean-up (taping lines on the floor and removing tape from floor). Each session takes about 6 hours to complete or one school day.
Note: Volunteers MUST commit to AT LEAST two sessions (or 12 hours)
